Ronald McKenzie, 63, of Pendleton died suddenly at his home on Monday, November 13, 2017. He was a lifelong resident of Pendleton.

He was born at St. Anthony Hospital, an identical twin, on April 20, 1954. His parents were Dr. Robert McKenzie and Huela McKenzie. He attended St. Joseph’s Academy and Pendleton High School. He was a paper carrier for the East Oregonian as a boy and worked for Harris Pine Mills after high school.

Ronald enjoyed fishing the streams and lakes of Eastern Oregon, and many trips with his father to the Wallowa Mountains and the Eagle Cap Wilderness. He loved to mow yards and was an avid walker around Pendleton, always stopping to talk to many.

Ronald is survived by father Dr. Robert McKenzie; sisters Linda and Kathy of Pendleton, and Barb of John Day; and twin brother Randy, a long haul truck driver. He was preceded in death by his mother, Huela McKenzie.

He will be missed for his big smile and his friendly and inquisitive nature.
