I'm so sorry to hear of LaVonna's passing. She was a terrific person, warm, funny, and kind. My mother and I got our hair done at her salon for many years and I will never forget the care and kindness with which she treated her elderly clients. She made their haircut and nails day really special every time, something they could look forward to in a world that had become severely constricted for them. She brightened many people's lives. Rest in peace.

I am so sorry for your loss. I graduated with LaVonna, and really liked her. She did my Mom's hair for years. Mom just loved her. I moved back a few years ago and seen LaVonna at the RAC. She came over to say hello, she was always so nice. Even when we were in Hawthorne together, she was a sweetie.
