Toni passed away on July 24, 2018 in Richland, Wa., at Kadlec Medical Center.
Toni was born June 24 1958, in Great Falls, MT, to Jim and Lois Arrotta. Toni and her siblings moved to Pendleton, Oregon when Toni was 6 years old, after her parents were killed and the family was taken in by their grandparents, Lewis and Edna Keller on a small farm in Cayuse. Toni went to Pendleton schools and graduated in 1976.

She is survived by her daughter Sarah (John) Prince; Brian (Cassondra) Walters; her grandchildren Bailey Walters, Chelsie Lockwood, Morgan Lockwood, Mallory Walters, Quinn Walters, Layne Prince, Hayden Walters, Ethan McMillin and Trenton Walters; her great-grandchildren Jackson and Aaron, sisters; Terry (Corey) Wine, Maggie (Travis) Hale, and Billie (Mike) Cawvey, brothers; Jimmy (Leona) Clark, Lewis (Mary) Arrotta, Dan (Nadine) Arrotta, Randy (Kim) Arrotta, and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dave Walters, mom Lois Arrotta, dad Jim Arrotta, brother John Arrotta, grandpa Lewis Keller, grandma Edna Keller, and infant son Christopher.

In 1992 Dave and Toni rebuilt the Chevron on Court St. Which Dave took over for his dad Gurney in 1972, making it into a convenience store/Chevron station. In 2001 Dave and Toni opened Dave’s on 12th Street, which has become the “hub” for many locals in Pendleton.

Toni’s love for her family is great. Sarah is the apple of Toni’s eye and she would go to the end of the earth for her. She also loved her grandchildren so much and she looked forward to their visits in the summer. They spent a lot of time with her and Dave and even lived with them from time to time. Those times meant so much to her. Her nieces and nephews loved being around their crazy Aunt Toni. They loved going to Dave and Toni’s house to play and hangout. She loved to travel with her sister and all the kids, going to fun places in Washington and Oregon. She especially loved going on cruises with Dave. She also loved going to visit Dave in Arizona, whether that was going with Dave to support the DFM/USA Explosion girls softball teams or just to relax and hangout. Toni was a very talented violinist and actually had the opportunity to go to Japan to study under Suzuki for a short time in high school. She played in the Eastern Oregon Symphony for awhile until an injury to her wrist forced her to quit.

Toni met Dave in Oct. 1978 and they married Sept. 19th, 1979. Toni loved Dave immensely and they had a wonderful life. Toni was so heartbroken after Dave died in 2016, she had a hard time without him by her side. In the end we can say she died from a broken heart. We know she is with him and all of her loved ones she has missed, like her mom and dad that was taken away from her way too soon. We are sure her mom and dad were waiting to give her the love and hugs she has missed through the years.

She supported many organizations in Pendleton including her husband’s love of girls softball. She was known to be a mom to many of her employees and tried to help them out as much as she could.

Our heart felt condolences are sent to the family of our “Toni tuna”. We will forever remember our crazy rides in the wheat fields of Pendleton. You inspired us to be brave when around horses and we always had a great time watching you ride like the wind at our amazement! I loved having you as a private violin student and laughed st your foot races with Suzuki teacher extraordinaire, John Kendall. Our time in Japan was so special and life changing. Watching you become a strong young woman and valuable member of your community made us so proud of even though it was from a distance. We will never forget you!!😍 Love Diane and Hugh

So sorry to lose you Toni, you have left me with time locked spirited friendship memories only special people shine with in life. You were one feisty spite and malice card playing lady. Thanks for all plays you gave. Paul and Natalie

She was always so kind "hi sweetie, how you doing?" always came to put her hand on my shoulder and never failed to say "take care sweetie". We used to talk and laugh about how she used to swim in the Umatilla river, the Black Bridge and how she used to tease Louis Case. I will miss her smiling face ... God Bless
