Stephen Blaine Morley, (Steve) died unexpectedly at his home in Pendleton on August 19, 2018 at the age of 65.  

He was born March 19, 1953 in Pendleton, Oregon to Harold and Virginia Morley.  He attend Pendleton Schools all his life graduating from PHS in 1972.  He later earned an associate degree in accounting from BMCC.  Steve made many friends at various jobs over the years, including St. Anthony Hospital, The Bon Marche, Comries Auto and most recently Interpath Laboratories, where he was a dedicated courier for the last 15 years.

Steve was skilled with his hands and enjoyed building. He made many miniature items, including knives.  His other hobbies included backpacking, fishing and gardening.  In his younger years he enjoyed hang gliding.  He was an avid researcher and reader and enjoyed anything western. Steve had a unique and animated personality and will be remembered for his witty sense of humor.  

Steve was a longtime member of Cornerstone Community Church.  He is survived by his mother, Virginia Morley, Pendleton, sisters Linda Denton, Stanfield, Ronda Morley-Behan (Dennis), Pendleton, brothers-in-law, Maury Chase, Pendleton and Todd Denton, Hermiston.  Steve was a fun loving uncle to his three nieces and 3 nephews. He also had 15 great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and his father, Harold Blaine Morley in 1990.  

Funeral services will be held Monday August 27, 2018, 3:00 PM at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Friends of the Library Pendleton.

So very sorry to hear this. Steve had such a wry sense of humor. Loved working with him all those years at the Bon. I will miss him. Our thoughts are with him whole family.

I knew Steve as the interpath courier for several years. I enjoyed talking with him about his vans and hobbies and my cars and hobbies. I enjoyed Steve's brief but entertaining visits each day. I have missed him since my lab parted ways with his company. It breaks my heart that he is gone.

Really enjoyed working with steve at the woolen mills in the early 70,s always fun visiting with him any time we passed path,s way too soon for this! Our condolances

What a great loss with Steve's passing. I can still hear him call me Captain when I greeted him as Boss!!! He will be greatly missed at Interpath. I will be taking his route and therefor I can not attend his service but my thoughts and prayer's will be with you all.
