I remember Sue Waldman as a no-nonsense substitute math teacher for Mr. Charles Bowles at Helen McCune Jr. High School in the 1970s.  Some students looked forward to having fun on substitute days, and tried some tricks to distract Mrs. Waldman, but she was more than equal to that challenge and always got quality work out of the class.   She was clear and concise in her explanations of difficult points in Algebra, often better than Mr. Bowles, who could be kind of scary to approach.  Sue Waldman was an excellent math instructor.  May she rest in peace.

Wally, You stood by a wonderful woman through good times and recent difficult ones with love and dedication.  I'm lucky to have memories of her wonderful sense of humor, smile, and many good times even though there has been much time and distance.  Memories are a wonderful blessing and comfort for us all.  Sincerely, Lee Phillips
