Arthur “Art” James Falk passed away on June 10, 2023, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Boise, Idaho.
Art was born in Independence, Oregon on May 2, 1940, to Andrew and Julia Falk. He is survived by his loving wife, of 53 years, Karen, and their son Dennis. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and two brothers.
Art loved traveling and he and Karen toured and cruised all around the world. In his younger years he loved hunting and after retirement, he spent many hours fishing and playing golf.
Art joined the US Air Force after high school and served from 1960 through 1966. Among others, he served tours in Spain and France.
After relocating from the Portland area to Pilot Rock in 1972, he and Karen owned and operated “Art’s Grocery” for several years. During this same time they also owned and operated “Pilot Rock Hardware” and a pig farm in La Grande.
Services for Art were held on Friday, June 16, 2023, at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop. The family has requested, in lieu of flowers, to please contribute to Shriners Hospital for Children.
