Beverley Kay Britain was born on November 26, 1939, in Pendleton, Oregon, to Newton Thomas Jameson and Margaret Loretta Richards. The 2nd oldest of 9 children she grew up and attended school in Pendleton. She married Jack L Britain Oct 1, 1955. She was a homemaker and raised her 4 girls alone following the death of her husband in 1972. Beverley loved taking care of her many flowers that grew in her garden. She was an avid “Gone with the Wind” fan and visiting the museum in Georgia was a delight for her. She also collected Angels, and was an accomplished seamstress. She loved her family and always put them first and visited them all as often as she could until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, both parents, her older sister Ellen, brother Tommy, and daughter Frohna. She is survived by her daughters Rose Anna Richardson, Milton-Freewater, Cindy Lee Persons, Gresham and Ginger Kay Upton, Salem. Also Sisters Jeanette, Barbara, Patsy, Irma Jo, Tony and Virginia. Seven Grand-children, 15 Great Grand-children,
and 5 Great-Great Grandchildren, She loved them all very much.
A celebration of life will be held at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel at 1pm on Friday, Oct 18th, followed by a graveside service at Olney Cemetery. A gathering will be after from 2:30 pm – 4:30 pm at Roosters for all who would like to attend.
