Charleen Reid Obituary

Charleen Ellen Reid (n’ee Lindi-Alexander) passed away at her home in Pendleton, Oregon on October 16th, 2022. She was 56 years old.

Charleen was born to Charles Lindi and Judith Alexander, on May 2nd, 1966 in Pendleton, Oregon. She graduated from Stanfield High School and moved to Klamath Falls, Or. where she met and married Brian Swisher, and went on to have two daughters, Elyse and Andrea Swisher. She returned to Pendleton, Or. in 1994,  marrying her second husband, Eric MacPherson. Charleen and Eric had two more children, Tanner and Jacie MacPherson.

She worked for the District Attorney’s Office for many years, and eventually transitioned over to become an admitting clerk in the day surgery unit of Saint Anthony's Hospital.

Charleen was loved by so many people. She had a bright and energetic personality that was contagious and lit up the room. She was smart, creative, artistic, and she possessed a spontaneous and fun sense of humor that could make anyone laugh. Deeply empathetic and loyal, she never hesitated to help or give to those that she cared about. Charleen was a lifelong friend and touched many lives with her generosity and regard. She will be greatly missed by so many people.

Charleen is survived by her four children, Elyse (Elly) Swisher, Andrea Swisher, Tanner MacPherson and Jacie MacPherson; and her five (+) grandchildren, Layton Swisher-Kinder, Charlise Swisher, Preston Endicott, Ryker Peterson, BriAnn Endicott, and a baby boy expected to arrive in late October. Along with aunts, uncles, and many cousins, who were very dear to her heart.

She is preceded in death by her favorite grandfather David Alexander, her first husband Brian Swisher, and her father Charles Lindi.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations are being accepted in an account in the names of Elyse (Elly) and Andrea Swisher, at Banner Bank; through a gofundme.com fundraising account put together by Whitney Minthorn for Charleen Alexander; and also at both Moe Phoe’s restaurant locations, in Pendleton.
