Obituary
It is with great love and sorrow that we announce the passing of Christine Marie Eckstein of Pendleton, Oregon on April 10, 2023 at the age of 82.
Christine was born on October 4, 1940, in Pendleton, Oregon to Wayne Earl Butler and Christina Verleen Nelson. Later her mother married Leo Davis and he became a loving stepfather. Christine attended school in Elgin, Oregon. Over the years she lived in Vancouver, WA. and Portland, OR. In 1968 she moved to Pendleton, Oregon. Christine retired from Wal Mart in 2006. Later on, she worked as a bar tender for the Silver Saddle. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary and loved tending her yard and flowers.
Christine is survived by her children, Richard Eckstein, Shannon Toy and Shirley Eckstein; sisters, Sharon Weaver, Diana Bloom Strum, Denise Cortaberria and Margarie Durga; nieces, Sandi Robbins, Vicki Fuller and 9 others; nephews, Greg Cortaberria, Lonnie Weaver, and 8 others; great-nieces, Amber Zaturn, Ashley Hansis and Heather Siegmund. She was preceded in death by parents, Leo and Christina Davis; grandparents, Julius and Minnie May Nelson; sons, Mark and Brad Eckstein and siblings, Patricia Babcock, Beverly Blurton and Gregory Davis.
Her funeral was held on April 15, 2023, at Helix Cemetery.
