Conie M (McKean) Wilson

Conie M. Wilson, 81, of Pendleton died April 1, 2022 at her home.  She was born April 21, 1940 in Utah.  A funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 7, 2022 at the Pendleton Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with burial to follow at Olney Cemetery. 

Requiem For A Quilter

Her quilting frame is empty now,

Her needles all laid down.

Her final quilt on earth is done,

The edges neatly bound.

We look and think we see her yet,

Still stitching with us all,

But she is planning our next quilt

When we all heed the call.

Oh, what a quilt it will be!

Strewn with stars, shadowed with moonbeams,

Stitched with gossamer threads,

Pieces of sunshine sprinkled throughout

Just as her laughter punctuated our talks

Around the quilting frame.

And all the layers joined for eternity

With God’s never ending love.
