Darlene Faye Linnebur

August 7, 1936 – January 27, 2023

With deep sadness Darlene Linnebur passed away on January 27, 2023 at the age of 86 in La Grande, Oregon.

Darlene was born in Calgary Alberta, Canada to Hazel and Royle Maxwell.  She had one brother, Terry Maxwell.

Her family moved to the United States when she was in her teens.  They moved to Vancouver, Washington where she graduated from Vancouver High School.

In her younger years she worked as a dental assistant in Vancouver and Seaside. In 1958 she met Paul Linnebur in Seaside.  The later were married.  Darlene and Paul owned and managed “The Hut” restaurant in Pendleton.  Darlene eventually moved to La Grande to be with her daughter who cared for her.

Darlene was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Linnebur; her parents, Royle & Hazel Maxwell, and her brother Terry Maxwell.  She is survived by her three children, Shawn Skorupan (Dan), Norman Linnebur and Lis Cluttar (Mark).

The service for Dalene will be held at Pendleton Pioneer Chapel, Folsom-Bishop on Friday, February 3, 2023 at 10:00 a.m.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Darlene’s name to The American Cancer Society or The American Heart Association.
