David Wayne Jensen, 62, of Troutdale, Oregon passed away Thursday November 13th 2025 at his home.
Born to Gary and Marilyn Jensen on October 18th,1963 in Walla Walla Dave grew up and attended schools in Weston and graduated from Weston-McEwen High School with the class of 1982.
After high school he enlisted in the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force he was stationed at McChord Air Force base and assigned to the 318th Fighter Interceptor Squadron as an Egress Systems Technician/Mechanic. He excelled and received several awards and medals before his honorable discharge in 1986.
Dave then went on to Oregon Institute of Technology where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor of science in Manufacturing Engineering in 1990. He spent most of his professional career as a Manufacturing Engineer and Planner for the Boeing Company and took an early retirement in 2018.
He is survived by his son Derrick Jensen of Scappoose, OR, sister Pam Gembala (Mike) of Dayton, WA, nephew Cody Hayes of Couer d’Alene, ID, and niece Elaina Gembala of Pomeroy, WA.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents Gary and Marilyn Jensen and a nephew Kyle Hayes.
A family graveside service will be held at the Weston Cemetery on November 22nd at 1pm followed by a memorial service at the Weston Community Church at 2pm located at 206 S. Water Street Weston, Oregon. Dave would not want us to be fussy or fancy so please wear jeans, T-shirts, hoodies, etc. and be comfortable.
