Gale McClintock Obituary

Gale McClintock passed away February 7, 2022 of chronic lung disease, with his wife Pat at his bedside.

Born in Condon, Oregon May 27, 1940, to Tress and Bonnie (Walker) McClintock, Gale was the youngest of 3 sons.  He was raised in Heppner until the 7th grade, when the family moved to a grass seed farm near Monmouth, Oregon. He graduated from Central High School in 1958, and following graduation, joined the U.S. Coast Guard.

He married Roseanne Ayers in 1960; they had three children, but were later divorced.  He owned and operated Gale's Appliance on Main Street in Pendleton from 1962-1982.  He was active in the Pendleton Jaycees for a number of years and served several terms as a trustee of the Elks Club.  He served two terms on the Pendleton School Board.

In 1982 he married Patricia Jones and they soon relocated to Boardman, Oregon, where he operated Boardman Appliance and worked as a maintenance supervisor at Lamb Weston.  They returned to Pendleton in 1995, where they have owned and managed a number of commercial properties.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother James, and his son Drew.  He is survived by Pat, his wife of 40 years; brother Jay of Maple Grove, MN; daughter Kelly Stubblefield of Pendleton; son Will McClintock of Hermiston; daughter Colleen Wyllie Stewart of Springfield; son Bruce Wyllie of Seattle; daughter Kristen Wyllie Sharrard of Pendleton; 9 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren.
