Helen Louise (O’Brien) Lober of 107 Miller Avenue Mount Vernon, Ohio went home to be with Jesus on August 13 at her youngest daughter’s residence in Pendleton, Oregon. Helen lived a full life of nearly 91 years and passed of natural causes. All three of her children were at her bedside-Lola Lober Iacobone (Giuseppe Iacobone) of Columbus, Ohio, Larry Lober (Gail Lober) of Bellingham Washington and Susan Lober Bower (Andrew Bower) of Pendleton, Oregon. Helen was born in Mount Vernon to Mildred and Lewis O’Brien on October 29, 1930. Helen married Clarence A. Lober on September 9, 1950. Helen loved being a homemaker and cooking all sorts of vegetables from Clarence’s garden. Her favorite lifetime hobby was playing Euchre and when younger, bowling. She played with her friends in many tournaments and was proud of her trophies. She energized herself by planting flowers and mowing her lawn.
Helen loved being a grandma to Gabriella Iacobone of Columbus, Ohio and two great grandsons, Jayden and Samuel of Columbus, Ohio. Helen also adored her two other grandchildren, Nicholas Jordan Bower and Rebecca Grace Bower of Pendleton, Oregon. Helen was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, as well as her brothers and sisters. Helen was the youngest and last of her siblings to pass on and be with The Lord.
A graveside celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 24 at 12:30 pm at Mound View Cemetery in Mount Vernon, Ohio.
