Janet M. Brindle was born in Spokane Washington on June 14, 1936 to Lloyd and Wilma (Campbell) Howton. Janet passed away at the age of 89 from cancer ( Leukemia) on August 26, 2025 at home with her children by her side. Janet moved to Oregon in 1947. She grew up on the family ranch in Ione, Oregon, she was her dad's "right hand man". Janet was a princess for the Morrow County Fair and Rodeo in 1954, she graduated from Ione High school that same year. Janet went to college at Pacific University in Forest Grove, Oregon earning a degree in education. She graduated in 1958. While attending college she meet her husband, Clint Agee. They were married in Decemer of 1958. They had 2 children, a daughter, Geri Agee Burrow, born in 1960 and a son, Miles Agee born in 1963. Janet taught school in Heppner, Oregon for 7 years. Janet and Clint divorced in 1966. Janet moved to Pendleton in 1965. She married Robert Brindle in 1967. Janet worked for Kerns Funiture, then for Pendleton Grain Growers which she retired from after 27+ years. Janet enjoyed the outdoors, camping, riding her 4 wheelers and snowmobiles, boating, fishing, and gardening. She loved knitting and crocheting and over the years she made many beautiful afagans. Janet is survived by her daughter Geri, son Miles and his wife Dayna, all of Pendleton, Grandson, Campbell Agee of Clovis New Mexico and a sister, Joyce Shepherd of Hermiston, Oregon. Janet was proceeded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Wilma Howton, husband Robert, sisters, Judy Rea, Jacqua Dunlap, brothers John Howton, Jim Howton. There will be a celebration of life announced for Janet at a later date
