Jeremiah GrosJacques Obituary

Jeremiah James GrosJacques
January 31, 1991 – March 6, 2025

With heavy hearts but endless gratitude for the time we had with him, we celebrate the life of Jeremiah James GrosJacques. Born on January 31, 1991, to James "Jim" John GrosJacques and Teresa Lynn GrosJacques, Jeremiah was a beloved son, father, brother, and friend who brought laughter, love, and a bit of mischief everywhere he went.

A proud graduate of Pilot Rock High School, class of 2009, Jeremiah was a standout athlete, excelling in football, basketball, and baseball. Whether on the field, the court, or just goofing around with friends, his competitive spirit and teamwork left a lasting impact. But it wasn’t just his athletic ability that made him special—it was his infectious energy, quick wit, and ability to make people smile even on their worst days.

Jeremiah was a true fighter, facing leukemia for 9.5 years with the same determination and humor that defined his life. He refused to let it take away his love for life or his ability to crack a joke in any situation. His resilience and courage inspired everyone who knew him.

In 2014, Jeremiah’s greatest joy arrived—his son, Kaicen GrosJacques, whom he shared with his high school sweetheart, Kiersti Bustamante. Being a dad was his greatest pride, and he loved nothing more than making Kaicen laugh, teaching him life lessons, and just being his biggest fan.

Jeremiah is survived by his son, Kaicen GrosJacques; his loving parents, Jim and Teresa GrosJacques; his brothers Joey GrosJacques and Jason GrosJacques (Harleigh Knoll); his nephew, Raiden GrosJacques; and his niece, Finley GrosJacques. He is also survived by Kaicen’s mom, Kiersti Bustamante (Leighton Halligan), as well as countless family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, who no doubt greeted him with open arms—and probably a few jokes of their own.

Jeremiah’s kindness, humor, and unwavering loyalty will be deeply missed. His memory will live on in the stories told, the laughter shared, and the love he left behind.

A celebration of Jeremiah’s life will be held at Pilot Rock High School on March 29, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a potluck reception at the Pilot Rock Community Center—because nothing brings people together like good food and good stories, two things Jeremiah loved most. The service will also be livestreamed for those who cannot attend in person. Please click the link below to access the livestream.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to Teisha's Place, 380 Rosemont Road, West Linn, OR 97068, in Jeremiah’s memory.

Rest easy, Jeremiah. Your smile, your laughter, and your love will never be forgotten.
