Kenneth Dean Widner Sr., 78, of Pilot Rock, passed away on August 17th 2023 in a care facility located in Pendleton, Oregon.
Kenny was born in Weiser, Idaho to Ardra James (John) and Edna Aline Widner on November 17 th , 1944. The family moved to Pilot Rock, Oregon in 1950. He married the love of his life, Audrey Kathryn Low on April 1st , 1966. Together they raised 5 children. They were married nearly 50 years before her passing in 2015. For the last years of his life, he found happiness again with his close friend Terra Arbogast.
Kenny was an outdoors man. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed any time spent in the mountains whether for cutting wood, camping, fishing, or foraging for mushrooms, he loved it all. Anyone who spent time with Kenny knows he had a legendary sense of humor. He was witty and would do almost anything for a laugh. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend. One of his favorite and longest joys was to sit in the yard with his parents, siblings, and friends every morning visiting and drinking coffee, the banter and laughter could be heard blocks away. Kenny was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a good provider and taught his children a strong work ethic and passed on that love of a good laugh. He was quick with a hug when they were hurting and taught them that you always take care of your family.
Kenny is preceded in death by his parents, John and Aline, his wife Audrey, his siblings Don Widner and Sherry Adair, and his daughters Dawn Harvey and Misty Fortner.
Kenny is survived by his children Kathy (Jim) Kinkead, Kenna (Chris) Wallace, Kenny (Gressa) Widner Jr., Son-in-laws Justin Harvey and Jim Fortner, 15 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren.
