Lelyn (Tod) Hobart Zenger was born 28 July 1942, in Pendleton, Oregon, to George and Eledice Zenger. Through his childhood he learned to love animals (thanks to his mother) and played the drums in the high school band. Tod graduated from Pendleton High School in 1960. Drafted into the US Army, he was stationed in South Korea until his discharge in 1965, when he returned home to care for his mother, following the early death of his father.
He trained as an electrician and spent his long, successful career with Gordon’s Electric, the Pendleton Flour Mill, Smith’s Frozen Foods, and Continental Foods.
Tod married Lynda Jones on 22 March 1974, and purchased a home on Cabbage School Road. Together they welcomed three daughters (Sharon, Cindy, and Terri). He enjoyed the wilderness of
the mountains and hunting with his brother (Corry), nephews, and friends. Through his life, Tod selflessly served his family and friends as a trusted mentor and confidant.
Tod passed into the next life on 20 July 2024, having lived his entire life in Pendleton. He is proceeded in death by his parents and brother and is survived by his wife of 50 years, three daughters and five grandchildren.
