Norman Garrison was born on December 1, 1946, and grew up in Shafter and Newhall, California.
A lifelong learner, Norman earned degrees from Blue Mountain Community College, the University of Oregon (History, 1969), and the University of Arizona (Master's, 1982). He moved to Portland in 1988, working in Market Research until his retirement in 2004.
He raised his family in Pendleton, Oregon, this was his true home. Norman was gifted with a photographic memory, perfect pitch, and a remarkable talent for piano. He joyfully shared his music at church, Vacation Bible School, and community events, leaving a legacy of love and melody.
He is survived by his siblings Margo Hutchinson, Mark Garrison, and Jean Garrison, as well as nieces, nephews, and great-grandnieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 8, at 11:00 AM at the Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1401 SW Godwin Place Pendleton, Oregon 97801.
