Robert James Amick

Robert J. Amick, 63, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2026. He was born in San Francisco on November 22, 1962, to Charles and Theresa Amick.

Robert attended Fairlawn Elementary, El Camino Junior High and graduated from Santa Maria High School, Class of 1980. As a member of Boy Scout Troop 171, he earned his Eagle Scout rank in 1981 along with his friend Ross Scoles.

Robert held a career as an aerospace mechanic for 40+ years, having lived and worked in 34 states, taking him away from his hometown of Santa Maria.

Robert is survived by his longtime partner Lisa D. Johnson and his son Matthew Scott Amick.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Theresa Amick (Punsalan) , Grandmother Suzette Amick, and Uncle Douglas Punsalan.
