Roberta Jean Bodewig was born August 8,1939 - July 15,2023
Roberta was born in Cambridge Idaho to Mabel Lipe Watson and Alexander Watson. She attended school in Ontario Oregon, graduating in 1957.
Roberta met her husband Christopher J Bodewig Jr. while Chris, a deputy at the time, was issuing her a parking ticket.
In 1976, Roberta, Chris and family moved from Eugene, OR. where they would purchase their ranch south of Pilot Rock, OR. On the ranch Roberta, Chris along with their six children farmed hay, alfalfa, and cattle. Roberta would later work for the Pilot Rock School district. 1984 she opened the Bridal Path in Pendleton which she ran until selling it 1994. Roberta would soon go onto Manage Sun Ridge Retirement until her retirement in 2004.
In recent years her health started to wain battling Covid and other illnesses. Her daughter-in-law Connie would spend many months by her side helping through each battle. God had a different plan it was time for Roberta to be reunited with her husband Chris.
After the passing of her beloved spouse Chris, she would relocate to Central Oregon to be closer to her daughter Sandra and son Don.
Roberta’s true passions were gardening, sewing, oil painting and spending time with her large family.
Roberta’s death was preceded by her husband Chris, her mother, father and two brothers. Roberta is survived by children Linda Walker (Robert Walker) Teresa Martin, Sandra Clift (Joel Clift) Chris J Bodewig III, Craig Bodewig (Connie Bodewig) and Don Bodewig (Sue Bodewig) as well as numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She will be laid to rest in Pilot Rock at the Pilot Rock Cemetery in a private family grave side service. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to all those who have been a special part of her journey in life.
