Rosanne Goade Obituary

Rosanne Goade, 84, of Pendleton, passed away peacefully on May 21, 2026.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother whose greatest joy in life was spending time with her loved ones.

Her parents were Roy and Rosemary Schuening of Pendleton and she was the oldest of 6 children.  After she graduated from Pendleton High School, she moved to the Boise area to go to a business college and worked part time at a parts store.  This is where she met the love of her life Lynn Goade.  They were married on October 13, 1962.  They would have been celebrating 64 years of marriage this October.  In 1974 they moved to Pendleton and raised their 3 children.  Kristie (Jeff) Harrison, Keith (Lisa) Goade, and Kaylyn (David) Green.

She was active in the community and was happy to serve others.  Over the years she enjoyed creating beautiful quilts at Peace Lutheran Church, Friends of the Library book sales, Christmas Cotillion fund raiser for the American Cancer Society, PEO member, and her ongoing work to keep the 1960 class reunion going.  She was active in the church for years between Choir, Bells of Peace, Council, and helping with anything else that was needed.  She always had lists going of things she was working on.  She was very passionate about family history and spent hours on finding documents and photos to keep our history alive for years to come.

She will be remembered for her gentle spirit, kind heart and creative talents.  She could always be found downstairs at home working with her fabric or crocheting as she always had more yarn to use up.  She loved to create and always wanted to share them with others.  Her great grandkids received a crocheted blanket made just by her before they were born.  Her incredible gift to create such beautiful keepsakes and her thoughtfulness was so endearing.   One could often find her watching a Mariners baseball game or Gonzaga basketball game on the TV and knew the players by name.  She loved to travel with her family, watching the kids and grandkids sporting events, and spent countless hours sitting on the deck at home enjoying the views.

She leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and will cherish her memories forever.  She adored her 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.   Her unconditional love for them could be seen just watching her when she was with them or sharing something about them.  Her face would light up when they walked thru the door.  Rosanne’s presence will be greatly missed, but her legacy of love and kindness will remain in all of our hearts forever.

Our family will have a celebration of life memorial service at Peace Lutheran Church in the Fellowship Hall on Saturday June 20, 2026 from 11-2pm.  Once we are gathered around 11:30 we will start with a prayer and share some memories.  We would love for you to share or write down your thoughts and stories for her family to place in a keepsake that will be made just for her.  In lieu of flowers we welcome you to make a donation in her name. Her love of making quilts would be very fitting tribute to her legacy.
