Sherry Joene Adair, 73, of Pilot Rock, Oregon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Thursday, March 2, 2023, in Kennewick, Washington. Sherry was born on August 22, 1949, in Weiser, ID to John and Aline (Burnett) Widner. The family moved to Pilot Rock when Sherry was a young girl and that is where she was proud to call home for the remainder of her years. Shortly after graduating from Pilot Rock High School, she married the love of her life Thomas Adair. The couple were soon blessed with four children Marc, Shannon, Stacey, and Kelly.
Sherry loved being a homemaker and taking care of her children. She enjoyed cooking, camping, playing cards with friends, and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sherry also loved going to the family cabin and sitting by the campfire. Sherry spent most days in the company of her dog Sammy who brought her so much joy and happiness and who was her faithful companion to the end. Even during her most difficult days, Sherry could always use her humor to keep a smile on all our faces, and she was a friend to everyone she met. She was a fierce warrior fighting the many battles life threw her way, and despite her discouragements and ailments, she remained a true and faithful servant of the Lord until the day he called her home.
Sherry is survived by her two children Shannon (Jeff) Holmes and Stacey (Lindsey) Adair, three brothers Gary (Pat) Widner, Ken (Audrey) Widner, and Jim (Sue) Widner, along with her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Tom, two sons Marc Adair and Kelly Adair, her parents, and her brother Don (Loralie) Widner.
Graveside services will be held on Friday March 10, 2023, at 2 pm at the Pilot Rock Cemetery with a luncheon to follow at the Pilot Rock Community Center.
