Steven Richard Riedmann, age 51, passed away of natural causes on November 17th, 2025.
Steve was born in Sidney, Montana on February 15th, 1974 to Richard and Virginia Riedmann. After graduating from Sidney Senior High School, he then went on to earn a degree in Autobody and Restoration from Wahpeton State School of Science.
In 1995, Steve moved to Pendleton, Oregon where he worked for Lapps Autobody. In 2004 he made a career change to a correctional officer at the Eastern Oregon Correctional Institution.
In 1998, his son Trevor, whom he affectionately referred to as “Bug”, was born. He and Trevor shared a love of the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and camping.
In 2015, Steve met his best friend Cheri, and they married in 2022. These were truly the best years of his life, which were spent traveling and enjoying the simple things life had to offer.
Steve was a fantastic cook and grill master. His specialties were his smoked cream cheese, homemade bacon, and homemade barbeque sauces. He was an avid gardener and canner, and developed a passion for woodworking. He made bowls, wine stoppers, and cutting boards. Steve was a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan (GO PACK GO!) and dog lover. In recent years, Steve volunteered with the Pendleton Round Up as a member of the sign crew.
Steve is survived by his wife Cheri and son Trevor of Pendleton, OR, his mother Virginia Riedmann of Bismarck, ND, his brother Bryan Riedmann of Sidney, MT, his two sisters Veronica (John) Kari of Bison, SD and Shawn (Wayne) Morlock of Bismarck, ND, his mother-in law and father-in law Gene and Mickey Sieffert of Hermiston, OR, many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and nephews, and his dogs Scout and Nola.
Steve is preceded in death by his father Richard Riedmann.
Services will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, additional details to follow.
