Virginia Wright Harrison of Pendleton, Oregon passed away at her home August 28 , 2025 after multiple years of fighting cancer. Virginia, better known as Ginny, was born on January 2nd, 1962, in Portland, Oregon. She moved to Baker City, Oregon when she was adopted by Garland Wright and Virginia Coyle Bryant in June of 1962. Garland and Virginia had also adopted a son a few years prior, Larry, who Ginny grew up with in Baker City. She graduated from High School in Baker and then attended Blue Mountain Community College in Pendleton where she earned her nursing degree.
She was a nurse for over 20 years in Pendleton where she also raised her two children, Jodi Hall and Seth Bennett. She loved her grandchildren Malakai, Aries, and Zada Hall.
She was blessed to be able to find and reconnect with her birth mother, Betty Kaldahl, and her four half siblings, Ray, Martin, Mary and Roy from Montana in 2022.
Ginny is preceded in death by her parents Garland Wright and Virginia Bryant and her brother Larry. She is survived by her daughter Jodi and her son Seth, her two stepchildren, Stephen and Jacqueline Bennett, as well as her three grandchildren and multiple step grandchildren. She is also survived by her birth mother Betty Kaldahl, her four half siblings, as well as Ginny’s aunt Toe Hensley whom she loved immensely.
Ginny loved crocheting, knitting, gardening, watching crime shows, and her dog Maja.
